How we work
Our Polder Knowledge method provides room for creativity, with a sharp focus on results. How? First, we dive into your situation: who you are, what’s happening within and outside of your organisation, and what is truly needed. We want to feel and understand that. Then, we unleash our creativity: using the needs of all stakeholders as a starting point, we come up with smart solutions. We work these out into a design and make them tangible with a prototype. Based on user feedback, we continue to develop. It’s an iterative process: step by step, we work towards the final product.

Why Polder Knowledge?
Choosing an IT partner is difficult because you are looking for that one partner who really suits you. For us, a long-term collaboration starts with 'a click'.
We want to truly understand and feel how your organization works, where the bottlenecks are, and where the opportunities lie. This is how we combine strategic insight with technical execution.
We work with a senior core team of technical specialists, supplemented by a flexible shell of regular experts. Our method is direct, pragmatic, and iterative: short lines of communication, no account managers as intermediaries, and direct involvement from the people who design, build, and manage the work.
Who do you work for?
We primarily work for medium-sized, technically oriented organizations and SME manufacturing companies that want to scale up, but find that processes, systems, or manual workflows are starting to become a bottleneck.

What do you mean by strategic technology partner?
As a strategic technology partner, we look beyond just the technical execution. With our Polder method, we start by understanding and getting a feel for the organization: what do you want to achieve, how do the processes work, and where is the real bottleneck? Where relevant, we use our IT Maturity Model to provide insight into where the organization currently stands and where development is needed.
Based on that insight, we determine together which approach and technology add value. We devise a suitable solution, work it out in a design, and make it tangible with a prototype where necessary. Then, we build and improve step by step, based on data and feedback from users and other stakeholders.
What exactly do you do?
Polder Knowledge helps organizations with automation and optimization challenges. We develop, among other things, websites, web applications, data-driven workflows, strategic dashboards, communities, and quality management systems. Do you do more than just software development?
Yes. Our added value begins well before the first line of code. We help clarify the challenge, understand processes and underlying drivers, and contribute ideas for promising concepts. In doing so, we test feasibility, sharpen assumptions, and determine which approach and technology actually add value. Next, we translate the concept into a strong user experience and a clear interface design.
With a proof of concept or MVP, we can quickly make ideas tangible, test, and validate them before making larger investments. This can ultimately lead to a custom application, system integration, data-driven workflow, strategic dashboard, or a meaningful application of AI.
Do you remain involved after delivery?
Yes. After delivery, we can remain involved in management, maintenance, support, and further development. We monitor how the solution is used in practice, solve problems, and implement improvements when processes, user needs, or technology change.
We tailor the agreements to what is needed. This can range from on-demand support to a structural partnership with fixed hours or an SLA.
When does it make sense to use AI?
AI is meaningful when it demonstrably makes work better, faster, or more reliable. For example, by classifying information, extracting data from documents, recognizing patterns, supporting employees, or initiating appropriate follow-up steps. At the same time, AI can mean more than just automating existing tasks. It provides an opportunity to re-examine how work, processes, and even organizations are structured.
No one knows exactly where AI is headed. That is why we are not AI evangelists, but AI realists: curious about the possibilities, critical of the hype, and ready to quickly test new concepts in practice. We don't start with AI, but with the challenge at hand. If a simpler solution works better, that is our preference.
How long have you been in business?
Polder Knowledge has been around since 1999. Since then, we have worked on a wide range of projects for entrepreneurs and organizations across various sectors. Thanks to this broad practical experience, we understand processes as well as the interests, choices, and objectives that underpin them. We can quickly empathize with an organization, come up with creative solutions, and deploy technology where it truly adds value. We combine that experience with a curious and flexible way of working. We want to understand how an organization and its processes work before we start building anything.

It was an absolute pleasure to present our “Vincent - Eén en al Oor” project to the data science students at Jheronimus Academy of Data Science yesterday!
The challenge? Dive deep into Vincent’s 900+ letters and capture his `soul` to create authentic and engaging conversations with his Digital Twin. We spent the afternoon with Prof. Plato Leung, Alex Bastiaens and Silviya Velkova answering questions, though we didn’t have all the answers. But hey, that’s why we were there in the first place! There is much to consider, not just the tech and data, but also the business and legal aspects.
Looking forward to our next session!

CMD student Rick Wiemer is begonnen met zijn stage. Voor zijn afstudeerproject gaat hij onderzoeken of onze iSeekMe App ook voor studenten van De Haagse Hogeschool ingezet kan worden. Hoe kijken (MBO/HBO) studenten naar persoonlijke ontwikkeling, zijn ze bezig met hun ambitie, kennen ze hun talenten. En hoe zou een App als iSeekMe daarin een rol kunnen spelen. Rick gaat dit eens tot op de bodem uitzoeken. Succes!

We zijn er dan ook trots op voor Hartmann een tool ontwikkeld te hebben die de compliance voor handhygiëne in de zorg helpt te verbeteren. Meer over deze case: http://ow.ly/1yfw50p4b1x
